1978 Mardi Gras

Even if I’m not feeling well, I pushed myself to travel and witness our very first Sydney Mardi Gras event.  I only became aware that my company were looking for participants when the registration was already closed! Should I’ve known of this earlier, I would have been part of this remarkable event! Anyway, there’s always another year to celebrate and be part of the parade.

Earlier with the crowd

We found a good spot near the assembly area of the parade. What I love about this parade are the lively personality of the participants, whether they are LGBTQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual) themselves or supporters.

Here’s some of the photos taken during the fun, colourful and wonderful event.
